dual tanks?
While cutting out the half ass home built hitch .I started thinking about moving tank rearward. Multiple reason, 1 Being back farther it has leverage effect and moving 220lbs if full back almost 2' has to help the lack of rear wheel weight w/o actually adding weight. Second thought was man could add another tank and double fuel capacity for road trips.
Grandfather had 3 tanks with two saddle bag style on sides and although never had problem. A t-bone would not end good. This way only down side is fill up of 60 gallons. Other than tank and some work only cost would be switching valve for fuel pickup and sending unit. Figure most here smart enough not to consider b ut maybe one more nut case and have done similar. Thoughts?

Re: dual tanks?
There was a 45 gallon tank available back in the day I've seen in installed in Burbans. Plus a factory or at least dealer installed tank that went under the second row seat.
https://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vbo...d.php?t=139144 Scroll down for Info on the under seat tank. https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...=698932&page=5

Re: dual tanks?
Yea think would [ass on in cab tank under seat. Pa had dual saddle bag tanks back in the day. Never gave thought to danger of t[bone. I on other hand have.
After some more looking I would habe issue with a brace abpve trave that supports floor aznd back of truck, Either lower tank, modified or something have not come up with yet is needed. Even moving this tank back for weight distribution is big job due to cross brace.

Re: dual tanks?
Moving things around it is not looking good for second tank. Hell just idea and besides as drag racer I am always drilling hole in the hole to get air out because that **** weighs too much for free ride. Why add more weight to heavy ass truck? Already move it back a bunch and when figure length behind axle and leverage effect on weight distribution I am gaining as is. Who needs 200 buck fill ups?
