Did those delrin tailgate pieces help with the noise as you expected? Also, do those Altman latches retain the use of the lock stem on the inside?

The delrin trunions definitely cut down on noise from the tailgate. The Altman latches do retain the use of the lock rods and buttons on the inside.

I got to check it out both Friday night and Saturday at the park. What a great truck.

My son was impressed that it is a static drop on coil overs at that ride height.

Also, checked out your Blazer too, did not see anyone around them when we looked them over, so unfortunately we did not get to meet any of you and the crew.

Actually, no we didn't. We left Natchitoches, LA as a group, went across Toledo Bend into TX, then made our way on backroads through Nacogdoches, Palestine, etc. It's a longer (time-wise) trip, but much more enjoyable than running Interstate all the time.

I'll take my dollar now!

I'm glad you and your son enjoyed checking it out. I'm still amazed at how well it rides at only 4" off of the pavement.

Sorry, we weren't around when you were by the trucks, there is a lot to look at over there. If Gringo would have gotten me a life-sized cut-out, at least you could have met him!

I would have liked to have been able to meet you.

Yep, she is seeing some daylight! The truck has been at my house for 8 months and 9 days. It went to it's last show for this year this weekend. It now has 3,074.7 additional miles on it. It's time for some general maintenance and a good nut & bolting session. I've noticed that it has developed a couple of squeaks and rattles which is to be expected on a fresh build. We'll get those taken care of so it is ready for the next year's shows and cruises. Once I get that taken care of, I can tear into the Blazer again for the upgrades that I have been putting off due to time constraints. I won't have to rush the projects on the Blazer since I will still have Gringo's truck to go to "truck" shows. Thanks for the loaner, Buddy!

Appreciate it. It’s no hardship tour, sipping gluwein in Germany and touring Europe has its perks. I do miss some stuff about the states, though, mostly truck related

It has gotten a lot quieter, but the whine isn't completely gone. My Blazer might still be like yours but with a much louder exhaust masking the sound... for now.

Thanks! It’s a mix-match of ICT Billet alt/PS bits with a Dirty Dingo AC bracket, IIRC.
