Old newbie in Memphis

Greetings! I started my project, a 1953 pickup, in 2002, thinking it would take 1-2 year max. Life got in the way, work, no work, family, etc etc. Besides, I had never built a car from the ground up. I took welding classes at night, and other than some of the work I was able to sneak in during the welding classes, the truck has been built in our two-car garage, my wife has kindly allowed me the use of her side of the garage 😬
I have tried to document my progress with pictures, and I will try to start a thread to show the build
The truck has a Fatman MII front, 4.8 LS, Ford 8.8 rear, and it is running and driving. I am now working the puzzle of assembling the front clip
In 2019, I complicated my own situation by buying another truck, a 1897 Silverado longbed, which had been sitting in a driveway for four years. The ‘87 is now my daily driver, good looking patina, lowered a little and 17” rally wheels.
