and some more photos of the truck overall. This is the final height, so final look of the exterior of the truck. Really cant wait to get on the road. Missed a few shows due to this taking longer than expected, but Triple Crown and Fall Revival here I come!

Pretty happy with how this 4 link setup came out. Now to figure out exhaust. Basically scrapping 75% of the exhaust unfortunately and had to make some changes. Fortunately though, these changes were ones I wished I could have made earlier. Had to get some S bends to go down after the transmission crossmember, and having to relocate mufflers. Thinking of going with some BlackWidows, but we will see. More pics to come!

Some pics of the exhaust, runs through a CPP crossmember that has holes for the 3" exhaust to pass. I then put an isolator right after it to control movement there under load.
Also, needed to address driveshaft. Rather than shorten the driveshaft and lengthen one end (make a new one basically) due to the new placement of the motor, I just cut the bracket, added a segment, welded and got smooth, and reinstalled. Works great. Need a spacer for the carrier bearing, but otherwise good.

Made some upper shock brackets for the rear of the truck. Running a set of KYBs, waiting on the lower mounts to come in the mail to mount these.

Some updates. The woes of a slammed truck!
Raised the driveshaft loop 2", I dont plan on clearancing my floor but just in case I ever need to, itll be ready! Finalized most of the wiring routing to the battery in the rear, created this skeleton looking bracket to cradle the wiring. The Accuair wiring is about finished up aside from a good accessory power source and the e-level sensor harness. Took a moment to clean up the rear body harness as I had to add a 'headlight' source to the Accuair to dim the controller and ECU with the lights on (I just joined it to the tail light/marker circuit instead of running it to the front). More to come!

Made my own 'floating' bracket for the Accuair setup with the Switch Suspension ECU and Viair compressor brackets. Thinking about producing these as they would be a direct bolt in, since there isnt anything on the market really.

And heres some pics of it mounted to the frame, over the gas tank. About 1/4" of clearance to the tank, enough for some movement but nice and tight to run the wiring hidden and the fuel lines to be serviceable still.
Also mounted the ride height sensors. These Porterbuilt control arm brackets and sensor brackets made it a cinch. ![]()

Not a ton of an update for the weekend, took a little time off. Saturday before I called it quits I was able to get the steering straight. I had to clearance some of the support for the front crossmember, advice via Nate from PB, only had to take a small section of it out. Sucks to kill brand new powdercoat but its all a means to the end goal.
Also started on the fuel lines from the regulator back. Given theres so much wiring running on the driver side notch, I cant fit fuel lines in there. Im going to have to run the lines over to the passenger side over top the notch and then back down, which will be a bit of a pain (I hate bending fuel line and flaring in general). Finally I got the exhaust pipes shortened so I can focus on and determine which mufflers I will be running. Thinking about Spintech 9000s, given their 9" length and the previous Aerochambers I was running were 14" and I have no space in the rear to run them anymore. Moral of this post is that Im running out of space!!

Some more crunch updates.
Got the GM Type II pump HOPEFULLY all set. Man what a cluster. GM Type II from a Camaro, with a Speedway motors adapter bracket, Holley conversion for the supply and return line, Porterbuilt Mustang II rack and Porterbuilt universal lines, AllStar Performance V belt pulley (hard to find for whatever reason), CVT universal power steering reservoir and a custom bracket to hold it! This was a feat. We will see how it all works out I suppose. Also got my steering linkage all corrected, and had to extend my throttle rod that mounts to the firewall. Not super happy with how it came out, but once it rusts itll look more in place I suppose.

Also pulled the rear end, fuel tank, Accuair setup and all link bars / watts links to paint the axle and to also paint the frame and various parts associated. Once the first can of spray paint blew up on me, it was easy sailing.
![]() Came out well I would say for a rattle can. I use the VHT Roll Bar & Chassis paint, no primer used, and it has lasted forever on this rear end (over ten years), so I still use it to this day. It has withstood jack stands, hydraulic jacks, various suspension changes and bottoming out on the notch and bed floor. So I like it to say the least.

Close ups on the chassis before paint. Also shows the shock mounts I had to create AFTER I had already made some I liked... lol... ended up having a shock that was too long to work. Ended up finding a shock from a Mopar van that worked but it was a studded end, so I made these simple brackets to mount it. I like it, but I was wanting to use the ones I spend a day making too

Everything is just about ready to go back together, going to give it a few days to cure so I dont kill the new paint.
Got the new brake lines bent up and in place. Came out pretty well, this soft aluminum line is really nice to use, super easy to flare and looks great. Next up is reassembly and to bleed the brakes. Waiting on fuel line from Holley, then I can fire it up.

Rear end was put back in, everything was finally painted and ready for install after a few days of drying. Also got the hard lines fully finished and ran an exhaust to the ground.
