Thanks for the reply! I went back out last night and did a bit more fiddling with it and it looks like i might get away with cutting 2-3” long by approx 3/8-1/2” deep area off the frame and the tubes would fit. It’s literally one tube thats hitting.
The problem I originally ran across was the numerous posts saying DON’T cut the frame. However, i just cant see how modifying 1/2” off the top lip of the frame would cause issues, even if I were to completely cut that 1/2” piece off. These trucks are real steel, not the cheap China steel in todays cars.
Obviously I’d rather find headers that fit, but unless I get a reply from the OP (@May70) or run across someone who has the wide frame, LS motor, and using this Hooker kit its going to be a guessing game.
