66 C10 Gas Pedal Scott's Rod's, Lokar????

I have searched around the forum for gas pedal ideas, what aftermarket (i.e. Lokar) pedals fit. If anyone has some pic's of what they have done I would really appreciate seeing them.

Also Anyone used the Scott's Rod pedal?? Looks awesome here is the link.

I got this one and it fits well (just the gas peddle). You will want to get the spacer. I got the standard size peddle but it is a little small. I would get the xl peddle if I had to do it over. You will also need to get there cable for it to work correctly. I don't have a photo of it in the truck right now.

those scotts pedals are nice!!
i wonder why they don't make the clutch pedal.
lokar makes brake and clutch set,but only for 67-72 series.

Thanks guys! @Forestb, With the Lokar pedal and the spacer did everything mount up without having to fab anything yourself?

I didn't do the install but I am pretty sure all he had to do was drill all the holes in the firewall and fill in the holes from the old peddle.

I need a better mouse trap as well. All I keep seeing is $350 each
They do look nice! But for me to put my sole of my boot on to mash the gas that is a little extreme for me.

I hear you!! I went with a low buck Ebay Pedal ato replace my old spoon type.
Not as "pretty" as the scotts or lokar but easy on the wallet and works fine.

All of the hardware that is inside the cab is covered in carpet. I tried to peal it back a little to get a photo but I couldnÂ’t without disrupting things too much. The last photo is inside the engine compartment. You can see the braided line that has the throttle cable and below it is the 2 bolts that hold the pedal pivot point to the fire wall.

Perfect thanks. The standard size looks good, but I can see how the XL would also fit well. Nice the way your carpet is welted around it.

It’s hard to tell from the photo but the gas pedal is probably about 3 inches lower than the brake pedal

6 years later thats good. My stock stuff still works but it's sloppy . The pedal has broken off the ball studs now and I'm just using the metal. I've read past posts from members who say the cable setup just feels better. I can imagine so, especially with a proper connection at the carb. (Which I don't exactly have either)

I was just planning to use one of the OEM pedal assemblies from a square body in my 64.

I thought about that too but people say the angle is awkward. I guess they can can be modified, but junk squarebodies are getting rare. I figure that after I spend the time and fuel (California $) to track one down cable and all, pay for it, and then modify it to be comfortable I'd probably be better off just calling Lokar and spend a tad more for for a sweet piece of hardware delivered to my house.

I put one in my 63. It does work, but it was annoying to install. I had to put multiple bends in the arm to make it somewhat fit and I ended up only being able to use 2 mounting holes on the flat spot of the firewall instead of all three.
I’m planning on switching over to the 71-72 pedal during the rust repair process.

What's the difference? Visually the 71-21 and square body pedal assemblies look pretty much the same to me.

I only have a square body unit on hand and have only looked at picks of the 71-72.

The difference is in the way the arm is made. Check out Page 3 post #40 of my build thread for pictures. The arm comes down to the floor off the mount then kicks to the passenger side. The 71-72 arm just goes straight down from the bend off the mount
