Re: Sandan compressor noise

Kevin I too did some searching and came up with the low charge scenario. I remembered when I charged the system I did not have the controls in the interior position. My low side pressure was low around 35 high was 275 ish. My thought was hot water flowing through heater core so 150+ degree air flowing across evap coil so high pressure showing and actually low on refrigerant. So I re checked pressures with controls in right position and yes I was low. So I added 6-8 oz low pressure came up to around 50 high side around 250, 95 degree day took it for a ride and noise was significantly lower. Not absolutely quiet but doable. So charge does make a big difference in noise.
