New skins for the '71 -- went with 15's
After literally spending days looking over pics of similar trucks (LWB , 2 tone,) and all manner of ride heights with 15's, 17's, 18's 20's etc
I threw up my hands and just went with 15's -- same size as the setup it replaced 15x8 TT 2's with 275/60's replacing Am Racing Outlaws with same size my local Tire shop had to special order the tires and the wheels came from Tire Rack ---- but here's hoping i drive this one enough that the tires dont age out before they get some use The fresh appearance has kind of re-kindled my interest and i have made a squawk list to start fixing things as we head into a cooler fall driving season . (AC is a big squawk keeping summer driving pretty limited ) --- ![]() ![]() Old pic - not bad and in keeping with my 80's/early 90's aesthetic, but it sat so long the tires flat spotted

That's a good looking pickup right there. Can't go wrong with a classic setup like that.

Very clean look. Wheels, tires, and the truck.

Thank you guys' for the kind words , and yes it rides very nice indeed -- has a shimmy on the drivers side front though that i am trying to diagnose -- took it back to tire shop as they did a basic alignment on it for me and nothing is loose -- alas -- its always something with 40 and 50+ year old vehicles I went with 275/60's all around on 15x8'x (these measure closer to 8.5") --- but since some dropped springs and spindles are in the near future plans , kind of wishing i had gotten 7" wheels and 255's for the front so the tires will tuck a little better --- i overthink every decision on this truck more than most would a treasured daily driver -- but the real test would be to just get the thing altitude corrected and see what it looks like first - might be perfect
