Best Weatherstripping / Seals ?

I'm getting ready to order all of the weather stripping for my 64 Suburban.
So I wanted to see what fits well for these years. I had some issues with the Precision brand on my 51.

I have very limited options for the Suburban side windows and tailgate. So far I have found them at Steele rubber and the Truckandcarshop.com.

If I order everything I need from Steele it's almost double the cost ( $800 more). This seems really over priced but I only want to do them once.

Any input is appreciated, Thank you

I used Steele for all of my Sub. No issues.

Thanks for the feedback. $1800 for weather stripping seems crazy. I guess at least someone is making the parts I need.

Looking back, I wish I would have built a truck instead of a Suburban. It's just so much more work and money.

I like precision. I've used their windshield gasket and push-on door seals. No issues.

Good to know. I have a Precision windshield gasket but I wasn't sure if I should use it. I also like the idea of the push on door seals.

I think I 'll order all of the Suburban specific stuff from Steele and may use Precision for the rest. I'm still unsure about the vent window seals, there are so many options and really only want to do those one time.

Suburban is going to the new paint shop at the end of the month. I'm going to rebuild the sliders and vent windows while it's there.

Yeah vent windows are a tough one. I broke mine trying and bought complete new assemblies from Brother's. The side glass channels are polished stainless on those and they do have a nice bling factor, but I pretty much kept them closed so I can't really judge their functionality

I would probably just buy completes too. Unfortunately they are all stainless or chrome and I want black frames. The Suburban sliders have black frame, so I want them to match.
