Old school advice needed please. Rear bedside damage.

Some days you lose, some days you win.

Today I felt the universe pooped on me.

I also completed stripping the whole of the drivers side befside.

It has left me feeling despondent.

Seriously.

Short video shows what I have.

I NEED SOME HELP AND ADVICE PLEASE.

Comments like Ooops it looks bad, appreciated, advice on how to get the shape back…… really appreciated.

Thanks

I feel your pain. I got a replacement bed after an accident, it appeared good but after further investigation it wasn't. It needed filler from front to back. On the positive side, I became a much better bodyman. Somewhat mastered the ways of filler artistry after much trial and error. Do not fear the filler.

Re: Old school advice needed please. Rear bedside damage.

Sending an entire bedside from the state's would probably be a deal breaker for both the cost of shipping and the potential for damage on the way... BUT! Could you be sent cutouts for patches (e.g., wheel arch section and then the one behind it)? A little planning (i.e., measurements of the location) and I know I would be happy to help! I am sure others would as well. I see many full beds on Facebook Marketplace for a couple hundred bucks up here around Omaha where many have been turned into trailers.

Absolutely agree.

I started with no clue.

This has been an amazing trip so far.

Long story short.

I have driven from St Louis Missouri up to Nebraska for dinner with friends and then halfway back to Kansas City to stop at Pete and Jakes with my best friend Dennis to order parts for the 34 Ford California Kid replica he is building after doing a 500 mile one way, turn and burn to Enid, Kansas to collect the 34 for him with another good 86 year old friend.

Its incredibly generous of you to offer to help.

I brought bed strips and side trim back to England in a 7 foot ski bag, as well as a 23kg extra bag of new parts collected at LMC and also in OKC.

I would cut and fit parts into my baggage as you have suggested.

But I think I need to just approach it slowly and do one thing at a time.

I have been putting my bare metal journey on my YouTube channel.

This is part three of repairs to my rusted, wrecked fenders.

Part one and two was where I started.

I hope that I manage to get it close to this well repaired.
