smooth cowl?? anyone done this?

if so, why? and does this cutoff the air to the side vents?

Regarding the last question in your post, yes, it would cut off the main fresh air supply to the side vents.

They sell smooth ones and they still have the wiper arm holes. I wish I bought one before I had the truck painted.

I bought one from one of the usual vendors and I found the quality to be off. It didn't line up well with the screw holes, and the gaps were too far off for my liking. I sent it back.
