Re: oil leak from where?

I think I have it figured out, but I've never heard of this issue.

The rear main seal is not leaking, but the rear main cover is. The torque converter is completely dry and clean. The flex plate is dry and clean. But the back of the cover is damp. Apparently, it is leaking and the flex plate is blowing it forward against the back of the engine.

I cleaned the motor real good and went on a short drive. No leaks above. But oil was dripping from the torque converter cover. I don't understand it because any leakage into the rear cover is supposed to end up in the oil pan. I don't have any strange oil pressure.

It's not a large leak (right now) but just enough to be annoying.

Ultimately, it will require the same fix as a Rear main. $$$$

PS> I am assuming that if the main seal were leaking the flex plate would be soaked and spraying oil everywhere, correct me if I'm wrong.
