Blazer - Jimmy Top Restoration

Anyone on the Forum work with @save_a_jimmy. I came across his Facebook and Instagram pages. He says he does top restoration for fist gen K5s. His page says he is in Central Valley California (95315).

I’m curious if anyone has worked with him and could share the experience you had.

Thanks

I’m aware of him. I am unaware of his quality, but he quoted me 5k to restore my single wall. He is really backed up for work from what he told me. Not sure if I’ll hear back anytime soon. If I do hear back I might visit to see how he restores the tops.

Ironically, I passed right by his town on my way to take my son to school in LA. I might call him and see if he would mind me swinging by at the start of summer when I go to pick my son up when school gets out.

Re: Blazer - Jimmy Top Restoration

From the pics I have seen Instagram., his work is awesome. I would like for him to restore my K5 Blazer Top but the shipping cost to California from Florida is going to be expensive. I sure an original top, restored, would be better than the reproduction tops. If anyone has used him, please chime in. Also, if anyone has restored a blazer top, please chime in.

I’m not sure if the new is worse or better. The ones at motor city look really nice but the shipping is my issue as well. He quoted me 2k plus $500 for a crate to ship it to California. I would buy one if I could get it here cheaper.
