Re: Ol' Blue
Thanks Raven.
I wish I could take credit for the gas tank idea or the hidden ac lines, but Bob over in FLA did it first and shared his ideas with me. I liked them immediately and started work on incorporating them. As an aside, the truck is sitting in my shop, waiting for the paint shop to be ready for it. Also, my buddy with the bore scope and pick, who has gotten these old doors open is coming over Tomorrow, Tuesday to "open" the rider's door. I'll report on his success, I hope!

Re: Ol' Blue
The grill was rusting and had been bent inward, it hit something. I sent it off to Gabriel to have it re-chromed and here it is now.
I saved a little money by having it shipped in pieces. That was a mistake. I'm not sure it is together correctly at this point. I need to know what screws were used to bolt it into place. I need them to finish assembly. So, if you have an idea, let me know. Thanks.

Re: Ol' Blue
Thanks Tailgater, that helps. My assembly manual is more difficult to see, but that one I can read.

Re: Ol' Blue
Raven, I just told the wife I'll be a little pumped up for a while, so just forgive me. She laughed and said, I know!

Re: Ol' Blue
Thanks Tempest.
It will be a while, it is 5th in line, but they had a spot for it, so it sits there, not here.

Re: Ol' Blue
I'm so far away from paint that seeing yours gives me some motivation to keep going. Thanks

Re: Ol' Blue
Well, 2.5 months later and there has been some progress. They have been working on gaps, doors, fenders to cab, hood, etc. Then they started putting on the shiny parts to see how they fit. The taillights had some about 1/4" of fiberglass showing around the chrome light, and the hard lines of the top of the fender didn't line up with the "point" on top of the light. I think they are doing a good job. I tried to get stuff lined up as well as I could, but they are pros and I think it is looking good. The rider's side light is before they worked on the fiberglass. I don't have a picture of the finished rider's side, but it's better than the driver's side, and they are going to work on the driver's side some now that the rider's side is good.
As for paint, the last we discussed it, it may get in late this month, and will probably be painted by the end of March.

Re: Ol' Blue
Also, I have the bed wood and polished strips that goes between the wood planks for the 54. Does anyone know if I can use them in the 55 Cameo?
I think they will fit, I'm just not sure and was thinking ahead.
