Welded up windows

Anyone else been asked why or how ling took to weld up windows? Have to had that question dozen times by folks thinmiong Panel is a modified Suburban. It is one of coolest parts of driving a Panel around.The questions and numbers of I have never seen one of those.

Never been asked that but some folks call it a suburban.
