Who is using headers on their Blazer (69-72)? If so, what fits without modification? Looking to switch to headers for the engine swap and need to find some headers that will work.

My '69 has Flo-Tech headers. They are cheaper headers and I have heard a lot of bad things about them. They were on the truck when I bought it.

I have a set of Hedman's that I got on this forum... Decent quality welds... They're not really shorties, but they aren't long tubes either. My only complaint is the gauge of the primaries is a little too thin for my liking. Not sure how they will hold up long term. Probably ok since I am in Socal I suppose.

hedman makes sets for the 2x and 4x 69-72 blazers.

Is clutch linkage a problem with the different headers?

I have hooker ceramic coated ones and it just hit my front drive shaft. I never really use it so I took it off but I think something is funny with my truck but haven't figured it out yet

I just pulled an engine from my 69 blazer that had headers. I ordered a new set from Summit(hedman) that listed for that year blazer and they are pretty close to ones I pulled, so they should fit nicely. The blazer is a 4 speed so there were no problems with the clutch linkage hitting them.

i have headers off of my '84 blazer on my '72 blazer. they are long and they hit the lower shackle bolt. im looking for a set of ram horn manifolds, any one have a set laying around?

I went with Hedman, on my 72 Jimmy 350/sm465/np205. I had to grind about ¼ inch of the passenger side frame for extra clearance and turn the spring shackle bolts around. I am happy with them.

I'm using Hooker comp headers.No problem with linkage or anything else. I've used Hookers on all my projects.

I've got Hooker Competition ceramic coated headers on my 71 Blazer with a 454- just called Summit- one call does it all, one click gets it quick- oops, wrong place- it was in their book, +$350 dollars and a few days later, they showed up- bolted up- very happy with them. Good luck.
