wow... longhorn truck cover

Think of all the things you never expect to come across for an outdated odd ball truck like a longhorn. No truck caps, no campers (other than the ones from back then), no hard tonneau covers, drop in bed liners... none of that stuff.
Well, scanning e-bay and typed in chevy longhorn, and got this car cover included in my search. I dunno if that price is out of line or not... but if there is anyone who needs it, I'm sure they are a member here.

That is cool! It would be nice to get some specs on that. The price would be high for just a cotton dust cover and not too bad for an Evolution 3 or other hi-tech material. Since they have the pattern they could make one in whatever. It would just be nice to know what you get for that price. They have always offered custom covers. I guess once someone ordered one they had the pattern to offer as a catalog item.

Re: wow... longhorn truck cover

Cool, I've been looking for a cover for my longhorn for a longtime. Judging by the price they are very aware that they are the only ones that make it.

Re: wow... longhorn truck cover

a little out of line on price IMHO. By the way, i found a tonneau cover the fits regular/newer trucks on craigslit for $30.00 and took it to my local auto upolstery shop an added on to it for $25.00 to fit my longhorn. looks great too.

Re: wow... longhorn truck cover

I need a bed tonneau/cover for my '72 Longhorn. Anyone out there in Radioland know someone/a shop who makes one for the Longhorn's 8-1/2 foot bed?

I was being facetious.
I assumed Longhornmaam took him away.

Re: wow... longhorn truck cover

Well, did Longhorn-maam take away the middle of his post regarding where he found that Longhorn cover-pattern? I may have to build my own...have some ideas...but it'll be contrived and thats a shame if something is already out there in Radioland. My bedboards are White Oak from Kentucky glossed-out with 12 coats of hand-rubbed EpiFanes clear varnish. It'll live out there on its own for awhile but I want to find it some help in the inerim. I'm ground-up-restoring my Dads Ochre 72; 3/4 ton. Fun project.

NO, he never found one. He was just surprised at that time they had a truck cover. Most folks with longhorns make their own bed cover if they want one, or had a custom tonneau sewn up.

Re: wow... longhorn truck cover

My dad's car ( now mine) 67 Chrysler 300 ragtop is 4 inches longer than all the other Chrysler's in the same body style. When he bought a cover for it , It came with a 5 inch band of different color material sewed into the rear section looks like a racing stripe.

I had new a shell put on my longhorn truck ~10 years ago. So, they still are available. Odd ball? No, just not super common.
