Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
Thank you! It's been a process getting those wheels done and mounted, and I'm incredibly happy with the look now.
Next up is to strip and paint both bumpers a nice bright gray until I find a good chrome front bumper. Also need to find some nice chrome mirrors.

Wheels and caps look good. There's a paint that looks very close to chrome in color and sheen.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
Upgraded the 4 corner paddle valves to the BagRiders Pro manifold and controller. Very nice equipment. Wiring took a couple hours, mainly due to reworking and tearing out old wiring. Today got the new air lines run to replace the old layout, also tedious but only took a couple hours. Its nice for sure. No more in cab air dump lol.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
That's very nice! Makes me ashamed of mine. I was having trouble with pressure balance issues after going to front disc, and I just have one of those valves to restrict rear line pressure. It's wide open, and the brakes work fine. In fact, the fronts lock up first, so it's fine.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
I had the lower portion of my shifter welded to clean up some slop, and decided to make an improvement (imho) on the shift knob while I was at it.
I'm calling this mod a critical success!

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
Nice shifter!
Three L's this weekend for the truck. CPP slip shaft is too long even collapsed. Fighting Bagriders preset feature. Viair compressor got on trade was cracked. No beuno, leaky AF. But did get my axle shims flipped and now have 5 degree up at axle and 3 degree down at acrrier bearing. Was previously down and down. Ordered 2 degree shims to correct that. However, it only has a vibration briefly at around 35mph in 3rd gear. So still successful in some way I suppose. |

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
What started as a carb rebuild turned into a discovered broken push rod, and since I had all that stuff off I might as well repaint parts. Almost to the finish line.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter
Preparing to pull the engine because the cam is wiped out. I’m bummed, the motor is original with only 76k miles. While the engine is out getting a rebuild, I’m going to attempt to to rebuild the TH350 myself.
