Looks good! Since I have a longbed now that will never go short in my lifetime, I like you do like them both, although the shortbed is the ones that catch the eye. Work looks very well done.

I like the profile and wheel/drop of that truck. He's gonna have a nice piece when he's done.

Re: Shorten it Up

Funny, but back in the 80s when I got my 69 C10, the LWB trucks were more popular because they could haul more stuff with the tailgate closed, like 8-foot lumber and dirt bikes. Today, the short beds are hot, because most of us don't use our trucks as daily drivers to haul stuff. And, admittedly, they look better!

OK, I can just see lots of guys here posting pictures of their trucks working.

I guess that’s why I have one of each in the 67-72 trucks… both K’s of course. Best of both worlds. A loaded Cheyenne K20 and a stripped down short bed custom K10.

Off Topic, but opened in the last two posts.
Personally, while I prefer my long bed '67 , a good station wagon will beat a short bed for hauling capacity. We used to have a Dodge magnum RT HEMI. ggg

The Red Truck is my Sons. The Blue one is mine. Yes I like both but prefer my SB. It’s My Daily Driver and has a Spray-in bed liner, if I need Gravel we’re hauling Gravel. It’s Not Show, Just a Good Lookin Old Truck

I really like your attitude, enjoy the truck and don't let things hold you back. Nothin wrong with that.

After your son has that 427, i hope he has plenty of money for new tires every few months. lol

I really like the color -- and the wheels, too. What size are they?

The wheels are 20s. I’ll have to look for tire sizes if you want them. I see you’ve had your truck 36 years ! I bought my Truck in 1989 so 36 years for me too
It’s been through my two boys, a Small Block, a Injected Big Block and now an LS1 with 6 speed manual I’ve attached a pic of when I bought it

Re: Shorten it Up

Looks stellar, since you’re local may I ask who did this?

I too have a shortened truck, they just look so good don’t they! Although mine was done at some Fab shop up in Washington state sometime in the 80s or 90s from what I understand. I can’t tell it was shortened.

My Son found the guy on FB Marketplace. I’ll ask him for the info and post it
I want to say it was done in Stockton. Two Brothers have a shop that does this. My Son told me they cut down a C20 making it a Blazer. Would liked to have seen that one!!!

Noted, thank you sir!

I’m a bit surprised that he trusted a couple brothers from Stockton but glad it all worked out!

Very clean. I like the minimal side trim and how it flows over the wheel openings. My 69 takes a step back in aesthetics, IMO

What is the brand & model of the wheels?

Re: Shorten it Up

The wheels are US Mag Ramblers. 20" all around. 245/40's in the front. 285/40's in the rear. 8"wide in the front and 9" wide in the back.
The trim is from Mar-K and it fit well. But I believe Mar-K is out of business?
Couple more pics.
The 68 was my "retirement" project.

That's a beauty you have there!

I think you're right about Mar-K. That's what my son bought for our truck when he had it painted.

I just like the 67-68 trim better.
