New here and wanted to say hey.

Greetings from the Southland (GA). I’m a stepside guy and have been working on my trucks for a while. Appreciate all the info so many of you post for guys like me. Look forward to participating. Here are my trucks. A patina TX truck and a 35k mile CA truck. Both are 1969, 250ci, with 3 on the tree. Drive ‘em all the time.
Can’t figure the upside down pic-reckon that was the day I installed the upside down anti gravity system.
Take care all, George

8” on the front. 10” on the rear. Stable ride and no rub except on hard cornering rubs a little on rear. Lock to lock on front maybe lost 1/2”

Love the trucks, I have a 69 also that I bought in CA. Mine had the nice patina, but I went ahead and had it painted, thinking maybe should have saved my money. After all was done and have tank in rear, (kinda wish I hadn't done that also) have no place for my spare. Bought an NOS rear fender and tire bracket to mount my tire, but just hate to think about messing with it all being new paint. Beautiful trucks, love the factory air also.

Re: New here and wanted to say hey.

Thanks. Many like the blue truck more around this area. Genuine patina not created. Decades of weathering in dry TX. After doing what ya gotta do to make it safe to drive, exhaust, brakes, electrical, shocks etc put in a new oak bed but used orig strips. One coat tung oil and now weathered darker to “ match”. Found an old 155 howitzer ammo box to make a tool box. Drive it all over the farm n on the road. With the 3:73 chunk it beats you death at 65 on the highway but will pull a tractor loose from the mud. Had some old lights from a Ford tractor & installed a night use "hog hunting" light on cowl. Just having some fun.

Welcome to the forum. Beautiful trucks! I dig your username also. On some other forums I go by JimboKansas. It’s kind of similar to Bubbausa.

Nice Trucks. Welcome! I had a '67 stepside for 24 years but I sold it. Now I'm putting together a short wide(slowly).

Re: New here and wanted to say hey.

Hey all, thanks so much for the contact & welcome. This is a great board full of info...just what I was looking for to help my illness with 69 stepsides. Have a few questions, but have been going thru about 20 pages a day of posted "stuff. Lot of my issues get answered so I dont have to bother Y'all with a new post when the info is already out there & findable.
Thanks much, George
