Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello world.. its been a minute or two since I posted an update. Alot has happened and its been crazy busy. After 30 years in my industry, I decided I had enough of working hard for others, making them millions while I got peanuts. So I decided to open my own trucking company "Semper Fi Drayage Services" its been stressful, lots of sleepless nights, but fruitfull and worth it. Only thing, very little off time.. but soon I will be back on track...
Been pidling on the truck every chance I get, finally worked on the fenders, thanks to my friend Robert, my passenger fender no longer has the spare tire indention. He donated the filler piece from an old fender he had. I cut it up and welded it in place. Fenders are in place just to sit the bed and figure out how im going to bolt it down. Pulled it out of the garage so it can get some fresh air. It feels good to see it come together...

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Good luck on the new business venture. Truck looks great outside. Don’t recall if your on air or springs, but the stance looks awesome!

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hey Jason.. its on springs... I love the stance as well. My only concern is, now I can barely get a floor jack under it. Once I put the front bumper on, I cant drive it up my ramps...

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Thank you Robert, not sure if its all ive dreamt of, but Ive always had passion and dedication for what I do. Ive worked hard and sacrificed so much to build up companies. I figured why not do it for myself?

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello world.. its been a while.. who am I kidding, its been years since I post. Time has gone by and life has been great. At the same time its been super busy. Come to find out, being self employed is great but you give up family time, personal time and time to work on your projects. Basically I havent touched my truck in over two years. So I made the decision to outsource the remainder to a friend of mine. He finally made time to come pick it up and finish it for me. He will do the wiring, engine and whatever is left to get it running. I hope it doesnt take another two years. Ive asked him to take pics so I can keep you all informed on progress.
Wish me luck...

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello all, its been a while since I post. Honestly there is very little progress. As previously mentioned I aske a friend of mine to help me finish the truck. So far, the engine harness was put together and installed. The intake, fuel rails and injectors are in.. slowly but surely.. we will get there

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
One job at a time, done to completion, move on, pretty soon you're done. Sometimes a list helps if you can't finish something until a different something is complete.

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello Hotrodders... its been a while since I posted an update. Fact is, the project has been slow going, life is fast paced and its been diffucult keeping up. But here we are, I have good news, the truck is closer to being a running truck. Its bitter sweat though. My father worked on it and my goal was to enjoy a ride or two with him. Sadly my dad passed away Sept 26 and he did not get to enjoy it. I have great memories of him and of his passion as he worked on the truck. When we first started to work on it he said it would be his last project and so it was. May he rest in peace.
The good news is that I stopped by my buddies shop this weekend and they were working on it. Fuel rails? Check, motor wiring? Check, injectors? Check, dash gauges? Check...see below... irs exciting to me

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
How to post a video? What works for me is to upload the video to You Tube and then copy and paste the URL link to it in a post here.

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Hello,
It works here very well and you are now an Internet You Tube star. I love the sound of your LS engine. What mufflers are you running? Those door locks are also way less expensive than I thought they would be. Rick

Re: Jesses' 48 PU
Rick, so you mean to tell me Im an INFLUENCER? I can quit my job? Hell yea!!
Mufflers are FLOWMASTER, id have to go back and see which specific model they are. But I beleive the 3" pipe has alot to do with it. Yea power lock option is not expensive, but require persistence, patience and thin forearms...

Your truck is looking great, nice to have some good friends to help along the way. I'm sorry that your Dad didn't get to take a ride in it.
