Re: adding power windows ?

Not getting many responses because there are so many power window trucks out there to pull parts from, most people swap in OEM bits. I picked up a pair of motors and arms from a 1984 taken off in 1988 for $40 at a swap meet this past summer. Complete rotten doors with PW are under $100. Of course, if you have early doors that are not compatible with PW, a kit like this may be your best option.

Re: adding power windows ?

We offer the Nu-Relics kits for people who want to convert from manual to power windows and get great feedback from the folks who buy them. If you choose to, we can do them with a switch that uses your original window crank, otherwise the standard switches look and fit just like stock squarebody switches. The kits use modern window motors that run far faster than the originals and it makes it a completely new US made package if you don't want to piece together the original system. We have them on the website or you can feel free to give us a call!

I used Nu-Relics for my 50 Chevy hardtop, top quality stuff that fits as it should. Cheap? No, quality usually isn't cheap. You'll find that many if not most of the top car and truck builders use Nu-Relics. No, I'm in no way connected to the company.
I did add PW to my 99 Silverado buy purchasing new AC Delco parts and doing the wiring myself.

Re: adding power windows ?

When I had my 78 wrecker the doors were getting really bad. Sourcing from the wrecking yards I found a pair of doors off of an 85 suburban that were power. I took the complete doors and got the wiring harness' also. It was a plug and play with power windows and door locks other than matching the paint
