Blazer for Sale - Not Mine

https://cars.ksl.com/listing/10288037

Looks pretty rough to me. If this one sells for $15k, I wonder what mine is worth. Not that I would ever sell it.

With the engine seized and the extra engine is Undetermined condition.

Definitely not worth that but someone will probably buy it.

8 crappy sideways pictures with little meaningful written description and they want top dollar.

Re: Blazer for Sale - Not Mine

First thing I noticed was the Bucket seats and the steering wheel and the Roll bar are a Piece podge .

Which is fine unless you are starting out with Barret Jackson prices.

They did state OBO

Re: Blazer for Sale - Not Mine

Imagine how much fun you could have with one of those "midwest farmtruck specials" C10 longbed for $1500(or less) and just $7k on top of that , doing your own shadetree work.

That truck would be a blast.

Interesting that the SPID has a section cut out, but where there was an option, only the white paper below is gone and 5 or 6 digits of the RPO on the top clear layer are readable.

Sometimes these gripes get so frustrating, that keeping a sense of humor is key to mental survival.

These sellers need to realise that the crazy prices we saw during Covid were artificial and not sustainable. If anyone is holding on to these old vehicles as an investment I would say don't get greedy and sell now and get what you can. Nothing is selling right now because people can see the turbulent waters in the next year or two. Hoping classic car values go up again afterwards is a pipe dream for a couple of reasons.
The biggest one is demographic. The people that own these old vehicles are dying off so there will be tons of supply and no demand because young people just aren't into classic cars and most don't have the disposible income to even buy one.
The second problem facing classic cars is the Government and insurance. I think we will see it in the next few years legislation from both the US and Canada banning them in some form.
Glad I'm old.

That's how BAT started. That's why it's called Bring A Trailer.

On the plus side, that one has a new fuel tank...

You just need to look out your window to realise that it's not 1967 anymore. I doubt very much that classic cars will ever get sold to people named Mohammed, Panjeet or Chang in the future.
There might be more demand for our trucks, but classics from the 50's will be worthless no different than cars like the Model T.
Unfortunately the supply will outweigh demand and prices will fall.

Re: Blazer for Sale - Not Mine

all true ...all of it ....but Im having fun and not in this for the end game $$s like some people I have come to be acquainted with and some friends too. I see my kids enjoy seeing me finish, drive and find places to store them as the heard increases modestly its no nest egg to the contrary Im cautious because of what the reality of what you guys are saying is well REAL. There will be a little something left for them when my time is up ....so if we are smart will keep the hobby going and pray for salvation ....and remember there are no pockets on a casket Happy New Year and God Bless America
