Transmission interchangeability

I have a 2006 5.3 Trailblazer to part out and I want to use the trans in a 2000 5.3 pickup is it going to be plug and play?
I hear there are some wiring differences on some years..
Thanks

Re: Transmission interchangeability

I think you would be fine if its 4L60E to 4L60E. Does the drive shaft output look to be the same as in a slip yoke? But I would ask the same question over on LS1tech.com in their trans threads.
