1962 Chevrolet C60 Yuba City, CA

Not mine but I saw it in person. Cab pretty decent, as far as rust. Seat needs upholstery. Bed is rotted away. Unknown if it runs. Owner passed away, seller is helping the family try to get it off the property so good deal possible

Wouldn't be a V6 in a Chevy. Might be a 348 or 409 just missing a plug wire. IMO

Good point! Plug wires missing was absolutely likely haha. I removed V8 from post so as not to confuse anyone

Nice old heavy truck. Those wheels look like multi piece 20" wheels to me rather than Budds but it's hard to really tell. Being a heavier truck it may even have a 427, but wouldn't have the advertised 454 unless it was swapped. It's kind of funny, to a lot of folks big block = 454

Re: The Ultimate Craigslist find thread

Nice 72 C60 ex-fire service truck.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-chevrolet-c60/

This 1972 Chevrolet C60 is said to have been purchased new by the Troy Township Fire Department in Lexington, Ohio, where it was utilized as a tanker truck. It now wears a red-and-white paint scheme with Texaco logos following refurbishment work that was performed circa 2019. The truck has been outfitted with a fiberglass tank, a diamond-plate rear storage platform, and rear-mounted spotlights. Power is provided by a 366ci V8 that is backed by a five-speed manual transmission, and the truck rides on 20″ wheels and a dually rear axle with a 7.20 gear ratio. Other details include cab clearance lights, towing mirrors, side steps, front recovery points, and a bench seat trimmed in red vinyl. This C60 tanker truck is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with an Ohio title.

Re: The Ultimate Craigslist find thread

The longest W5500 was a 211" wheelbase, not sure if the 6500's came longer.

1946 Chevrolet $9000. Not mine.

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...918634076.html

1946 CHEV FARM TRUCK. 80 YEARS OLD AND STILL LOOKING PRETTY GOOD FOR ITS AGE. STARTS AND RUNS GOOD, HAS A 12 FOOT FLATBED WITH A CABLE HOIST. A COUPLE SMALL DENTS. BUT IT'S VERY ORIGINAL YET, IF YOU LIKE TO RESTORE THINGS, THIS WOULD BE A GOOD ONE. 216 CUI ENGINE WITH 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION PTO DRIVE FOR THE HOIST.
