Window Bump Stop

I'm putting my dad's '75 Gentleman Jim back together.

There's a rubber bumper that attaches to a bracket inside the door, at the bottom, for when the window is lowered all the way.

All I'm finding is a dinky little round bumper. I got a pair from AMD that are listed for a very wide range of trucks - early 60s to 90s. But the door seems to have had a much larger diameter bumper and it's toast. I can't find that wide diameter bumper anywhere.

Anybody know what I speak of? It's possible the wrong style bumper was in the truck, because the doors were replaced at one point. I don't have a clue.

I replaced mine with new from LMC. It's the same part number from 73-87. The ones I got from them matched the OEM ones I was replacing.

Re: Window Bump Stop

Thanks.

I think the ones in this truck were replaced with whatever the body shop in the 1990s could get at the time. The ones in it are the same height as original but much wider diameter. I'll replace them with fresh repros.

I got the driver side door back together with new Precision weatherstrip, AMD green glass, a restored vent window by Precision, and NOS regulators and tracks. The windows operate smoothly. Precision used the later style locking handles on the vent windows, which isn't correct but I don't mind.

I'm using Precision felt on the outer and OER felt on the inner because it looks to me like OER is the only place that sells inner felts that don't require cutting the door panels on the early year square bodies for the panel clips. Maybe that info. will help somebody.
