Whats this bracket on the AVS2?
Hi all. What's this under the fuel inlet? There's a screw but nothing attached to it. Looks removable.

That's the bracket for anchoring the manual choke cable.. Presently, the cable is inappropriately attached to the intake manifold.

Hard line (Steel or Aluminum) will still work with that bracket in place using a single feed fuel line kit (see below link/example).
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/e...BoCfX4QAvD_BwE You would be removing the current rubber hose fitting/adapter that is currently installed on your carb. I recommend keeping the manual choke bracket, get a new choke cable and route it properly utilizing the choke bracket, it is designed to support and secure the choke cable properly.

This is the one I got. Wouldn't the angle be the same? I'm thinking the problem is is that I just put the fuel line in the general area and didn't remove the inlet fitting. Maybe remove the inlet fitting and maybe it'll mount up better. |

That fuel line will look like this installed. This is an electric choke but same concept.

Figure out how much distance you need from the end of the housing when the housing is clamped in the bracket to the center of the hole and make it on the cable and bend a 90 so the cable will go through the hole and then bend another 90 about 1/8 inch from that one so the cable continues straight. Cut the excess off leaving a half inch or so and install it and tighten the clamp on the housing and you have it done right.

This is what mine looks like. I used Edelbrock 8126 chrome fuel line.
