4x4 6Cyl. Engine Crossmember

292-6 cylinder engine cross member that came from a clean Southern 4x4 truck. It has been blasted, with two coats of primer and three coats of chassis black. Comes with all new Grade 8 hardware ready to install. Great for someone looking to install the bigger straight six in a 4 wheel drive!
$325 shipped to lower 48 or $275 local pickup.

Thanks
Coby

Re: 4x4 6Cyl. Engine Crossmember

Just curious, but is the 6 cyclinder cross member different between the 250 and the 292? I know the right frame mount is, but are the cross members?

I could be wrong but I think the 250 is the same as the V8 4x4 crossmember.

I do not know the answer to that question, maybe someone else here on the forum will know.

Re: 4x4 6Cyl. Engine Crossmember

This is a hard to find crossmember for a 4x4 only with the 292 straight 6 motor only. Fits all years from 67-72. One motor mount on the 292 sits further towards the rear of the vehicle, whereas the 250 and V8 motor mounts sit directly across from each other. The 250 motor uses the same one as the small block V8s. Nobody currently reproduces the 292 4x4 crossmember. A great find!

Do you need one for the 250/V8?

Thanks for the information! This is by far the best forum for these old trucks! I knew someone with the right knowledge would jump in to educate us a little more. That’s why I keep supporting this site over the years.
Thank you again!
