Re: 65Custom Build Thread
Front sheet metal bolted on, we need to line up the panels and put in a few more shims & bolts to secure it in place for body work and paint and she should be ready to go.
We have also been working on spray out cards to select paint colors and I believe we are getting close between, Meadow green poly or Mosport green exterior and for the interior Satin Silver Poly, these are period correct colors, not original to the truck or anything like that but correct to period that you could have repainted it in the 60's. The top and stripe between the trim will be a custom color we are still working on once I have larger spray outs of these last two colors we can narrow down the top and stripe color. Re: 65Custom Build Thread
She's ready to go for body work and paint most of the colors are picked, getting a spray out on a test panel to make sure they are the right colors and everything looks right.
Haven't seen it with a hood on it for so long almost forgot what it looked like with a hood |

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
Most of the body work is completed and should be going into primer in the next couple of weeks.

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
Looks good. Saturday, my wife and saw an old Dodge race care on a trailer heading to the track. She look at it and ask "Why does the paint seem waivey." I said the body work was not done correctly. Your truck looks like it will turn out great with all that work put into it.

I'm hoping to get the cab back sometime in the next month or two and then I'll be waiting for the bed to be finished. |

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
Heard a rumor this weekend that my truck cab and interior will be painted sometime in December. Getting excited to see the cab in color.

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
December update, cab painting delayed, not sure why the delay but with the holidays I assume it will be next year before I see it in color.

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
It might not be where you want it, but at least it is still moving forward. It can be very frustrating when a timeline that you're given isn't met. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer!

Re: 65Custom Build Thread
How custom are you planning on going? Will this be the Hirohata Merc of C10s?
I can't wait to see, and keep up the good work!

The colors will not be factory but the truck will be painted as if it was factory for the most part it should look factory minus the few changes done, which are common mods made to these trucks. |
