Pittman arm power steering vs manual
1972 c10 manual steering box pitman arm choice
I bought a pitman arm for my 72 c10 with manual steering box. The the splined opening in the Pitman arem is larger than the splined output shaft of the steering box. Is there a difference between power steering and manual steering pitman arms? Are there variations of pitman arms among manual steering boxs in 72? Anybody have a moog part number for a 72 with manual steering? |

Re: Pittman arm power steering vs manual
.
According to the Moog web site: K6131 = power steering K6130 = manual steering RockAuto shows different part #s for power/manual on both Movetech and Dorman brands. The available manual vs power steering gear boxes show differing sizes of output shafts...about 4mm difference w/power being the larger one at 32mm. Hth, -Kevin
