Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

whilst replacing that lower ball joint rubber thingie, I noticed a hole in the brand new uppoer ball joint rubber thingie, disgusted I decided to reach out to MOOG... and now we wait!

and so the Run Around begins...

silly me for thinking that www.moog-suspension-parts.com website plaster with the MOOG logos all over the place is not the MOOG website at all

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

I was recently quoted $1,200 American dollars each to upholster my Smurf bucket seats, (I paid $600 total to have the exact pair done prior to Crowvid) so I went fishing for sum seats at Pick N Pull (pronounced my backyard)

I fingered my best chance for finding some seats for my Big Ass American Truck (BAAT) would be in some Big Ass American Cars (BAACs)

Our Requirements
  • black
  • manual
  • and black

so let me tell you where these two candidates came from

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

I like the shape of the cloth seat better but I dont care for the headrest. The seat on the right is ok and the headrest is ok. I get the safety aspect of a headrest, just not a look I care for on our trucks. But like "they" say, its your truck do whatever turns your crank ... or your case whatever turns your armature (dunno if thats the correct lingo lol).

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

alright, bring on the ol' fogies jokes, I can take it (no I don't need an AARP card to sit on one of them seats)

and the second seat, the leather one on the right is out of a beautiful 2009 Buick Lacrosse

no idea why my Buick post did not post before your reply, anyway, some random dude walking by at the junkyard agreed with you and likes the cloth seat more better as well

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

and I must admit, they just don't blow my skirt up, the back rests are just way too bulky and unless you are 5'2" you'll be sittin' way too close the the steering wheel in the chipmunk position

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

so since my life is so boring and I have nothing better to do I decided to get in touch with my inner Karen and tried calling the MOOG Corporate Headquarters only to find out they do NOT handle Automotive there !

I honestly don't know how them "Can I Speak To Your Supervisor" folks do it ?

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

nothing to see here, just the Electruck doing Truck Things for Bunky the eBug: A 30 Day EV Conversion (that was a nice 45 mile road trip)

I hope to dyno the truck next month!
