Tank fuel line exits above the exhaust pipe - need shield?

I changed the rubber fuel line on my truck and where it exits under the cab is right above my 3 inch stainless exhaust pipe. I put on Gates Barricade 30R14 fuel line with the rounded edge solid clamps and the stainless tank line goes straight down into the rubber line but it is 2 inches into the line with the clamp.

My concern is if it ever leaked it might be a big issue. A few things would need to happen though for that to happen. The hose or clamp would need to fail. If it weeps near the joint it is going to go into the rubber line and I dont think it can weep out the top. It is also low pressure so it shouldn't squirt or spray anywhere. The line is far enough from the exhaust it is within its heat rating.

Should I be concerned or do I NEED a heat shield there or would just exhaust wrap on that section be good.

Freedom isn't safe, it requires you to take responsibility for your own life, your own safety, and your own success. It carries with it the possibility of failure and the understanding that you're working without out a safety net. If you give the state the responsibility for any of these you also give up the freedom that accompanies the responsibility.

Gay a length of steel line and install it over the exhaust pipe. That is what I did because, like you, I was concerned about the rubber hose failing with time.
