Lots of trial and error on my truck. It looks like you've got the front fitting quite well. That's the hard part. The back is mostly controlled by fiddling with the striker. Mine's a '53 so the mechanism might be different than yours, but my striker has adjustability up/down and side/side. A little bit makes a big difference. You will also need to do it again if you add weatherstripping around the doors.
