Spal brushless fans

I have done several LS swaps and this is my second Gen 5 LT4 (72 C10). First time to use the brushless fans. PSI wiring harness. They sent me relays and a Dakota Digital controller, and told me that the 2 fan trigger wires in their harness will not be used. Spal tells me that I don’t need the relays and the DD controller will not work with their fan. DD tells me that there is no reason that it won’t. I am a pretty good wiring man but this has me a little confused. I tried wiring the fans direct to the battery and touched the small white wire to ground. Nothing! Help, please.

Re: Spal brushless fans

I have a wiring schematic that I used to wire in my dual SPAL fans. I tried to attach but it said the file exceeded the sites max size. Do you have an email I can try to send it to.

Re: Spal brushless fans

But are they the brushless fans. I have learned a good bit since posting this. I have two options. I can send my ECM back to PSI . They will program it so the 2 trigger wires put out a PWM signal or I can send the Dakota Digital controller back to DD and they will update the software to give a PWM signal. The latter is best because I can set the temperature perimeters to suit me. The DD controllers built since Nov. of 25 have the PWM software. This is my first time to use the brushless fans and it has been an education. doncochran1829@hotmail.com.just saw the pictures of your c20. Awesome truck. Also noted that you used the same coolpack and fans that I am using. doncochran1829@hotmail.com.

Re: Spal brushless fans

I just emailed you the wiring diagram. Yes, the SPAL fans I am running are brushless and I have them wired into a PWM Temperature sensor I got from Wizard Cooling. Actually, the whole set up - fans, shroud, radiator, temp sender, and wiring harness came from Wizard Cooling.
