Most box store HEI modules are OLD tech, including those made in the US. You can get improved spark and way better throttle response with an improved module like one from Performance Distributors/Davis Unified Ignition, made in the USA. I did back-to-back road tests within minutes between with a stock US-made "OE" module and a DUI module. No contest.
