Binding whene backing

My 72 C-10 feels like the wheels are binding when backing up. Everything is new, differential has been rebuilt, new drive shaft, tremec 5 speed trans. This is when backing with the wheels turned, doesn't matter which direction.

Any Advise would be helpful.

Have you tried adjusting the shoes on the drum brakes in the back?

Re: Binding whene backing

Did you add friction modifier when you filled the rear end?

Re: Binding whene backing

This is 2wd right? So no front drive axle issues to worry about.

Does it release as soon as you pull forward or straighten out in reverse?

Brakes binding in reverse: I'd check rear drum brakes are assembled properly, particularly the return spring, ebrake rod and hold down spring on the rear shoe and make sure the shoes can slide back and forth across the backing plate without getting hung up in a groove worn into the shoe support pads

Brakes binding only when you turn implies wheel bearings, tire rub, end play in axle shafts or a differential locking issue

binding only in reverse when turning....maybe two problems
