Vevor Rant

I'm rebuilding the Carter YH carburetor on my 63 Corvair Monza Spyder Turbo convertible. I decided I might nickel plate it to make it stay looking nice, since people want to look under the hood (trunk) all the time.

I ordered a Vevor 25 gallon blast cabinet so I could glass bead some of the parts prior to plating. It was supposed to arrive in two days but took two weeks. Once I received it I opened it up to start assembly and discovered the the package of screws had the wrong parts in it. Now Vevor wants me to send them pictures of all of the packaging and all of the parts so they can determine if they really need to send me a handful of M5 screws.

I'm kind of wishing I had chosen a different brand.

Re: Vevor Rant

Seems like you can buy any tools or equipment with a Vevor brand on it.
I bought an 8000 lb. winch, on Amazon, for my car trailer.
Thought, why not, it's only 125 bucks.
Lil dinky thing. 8000lb? NFW
It destroyed itself the third time I used it.
Bought a Warn winch. Made in the USA.

Re: Vevor Rant

I assembled it today. Three hours of bad fit, missing parts, and almost non-existent instructions.

Re: Vevor Rant

nothing on the Vevor rant but my mom had a 64 Corvair spyder convertible. It was 90% restored and got caught up in a vadalizing spree that happened in the neighborhood back in 90. Dad got so mad he called the junk man to come get it. I had no room at my new house so had to let them take it. I did save the hubcaps off of it though. Still have them, always thought they were the neatest.
