Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: 67 Camaro Build

Thanks you guys. Originally, I was bummed it wasn’t the standard interior (Grumpy’s Toy III had a standard interior). But since our parts car came with a brand new deluxe interior kit. I opted to use what I had and take some license from the original plan of a Grumpy’s Toy tribute. Also, as it turns out, the deluxe style rear seat works perfectly with mini tubs. Bonus!

And getting closer, here's the left door panel.

Re: 67 Camaro Build

The Deluxe interior is way cooler than the standard anyway...

Re: 67 Camaro Build

It certainly is deluxe, I like it!

With the sill plates and jamb switches in place, the interior is 99.9% done. A final touch is this reproduction simulated wood wheel. I’ll pull the tape off the pedals when the whole car is 100% done.

Re: 67 Camaro Build

The wood wheel looks good in the '67-68 cars, but I don't care for the Rosewood color they had in '69. This is mine when I bought the car in 2008. It is worn thinner in a couple areas from all the years of handling and has a couple light cracks but better than most I see and the originals are SPENDY now.

Re: 67 Camaro Build

I have a new comfort grip wheel I was going to use, but I felt a wood wheel is a better choice for this car. Unbelievable how much coin nice originals go for. Teak and Rosewood wheels, OMG. My favorites and most expensive steering wheels belonged to our '66 Vette. It had a beautiful walnut (OE NCRS judging-quality) and a reproduction teak wheel (pic from the last time I drove it), which I ran most of the time.

At this point in the build, I took a short break to go after a new 4-post trailer lift. I need to reclaim some floor space. The endgame is to store the car trailer in the air. So, after a quick 3-day road trip to Portland, OR, we snagged a Wildfire Trailer Lift. https://wildfirelifts.com/products/w...t-for-trailers

Note: I plan to hang most of the front sheet metal before setting up the new lift. By doing this, I’ll avoid constantly moving the individual pieces. Hopefully, if I’m lucky, we won’t scuff anything.

Again, I did post this earlier for those following my 72 C10 Build, which is closer to real time.
