ITB. aka. Stacks

Couldn’t Help Myself. Took 30 days to get them from Redux Racing in Australia. Going to take a lot of patience but my Tuner says No Problem
Sending the Manifold out to be Powder Coated then On They Go. Not looking for more power, if I get some that’s Great hopefully don’t lose any
I Just LOVE The Look
Wish me Luck

Just make sure the fuel rail stays in place. Ask me how I know.

On the LS1 it uses the original fuel rail so should be no problem

In the back and underneath the manifold

Re: ITB. aka. Stacks

I did rebuild. The damage was extensive. Hagarty, the insurance company was great to work with. They allow self repair and the process could not have been easier. I think they figured it was a total so anything they saved was worth it to them. I saved the title as well so no salvage.
I ended up replacing the hood and most everything behind the dash forward to the radiator. Since I was just finishing the original restore it was easier and I actually did things a little better the second time. I still run EFI but I did not replace the stacks. I took the funds for the ITB setup and the funds Hagerty gave me for my time and bought a new engine. The old engine was tired so I was not concerned about air filtration. The new motor was worth protecting so I went port injected with a TB in place of carburetor and a standard filter housing. Not as cool looking but good function. As far as performance, you won't get a thing for street use, but just like a Big Brake Kit, they look cool. One thing to note on setup. Get the EFI running. It doesn't need to be perfect. Then get the stacks flow matching as close as you can. Don't blow off this very important step. Then go back to your EFI and dial in your tune. Would not hurt to retest the flow one more time. Stacks are simple but easy to be out of tune and engine still run.

Thanks for the good info, Good to hear insurance was easy to work with.. The stacks for me are like a Bucket List thing, I’ve Always liked the looks and with more years behind me than ahead of me I figured What the Hell.

Re: ITB. aka. Stacks

Yes. It was exactly the same for me. EFI is not the plug and play most of the marketing hype says it is. Adding the ITB setup will increase the complications for good tune. Prepare yourself. It will be a Mt Everest type journey worth it in the end. I never got things to where I would call it complete. It ran good, but I wanted more before the fire caused me to give up.
