Where to post a Whats it Worth?

Two Questions
1) Where to post a Converted 72 K10 Shortbed Whats it Worth.
2) Is it worth the effort to 6.0 Swap before Sale

2) I suspect not.... but others will have better knowledge than me.

Looks like a nice clean truck. Good luck with the sale!

That is a damn nice truck. I would leave the small block in it.

Re: Where to post a Whats it Worth?

What is it worth when selling any truck or anything else for that matter has a lot of factors going on. The shortened wheel base makes for a great looking truck but may be a turn off for guys looking for more of a show truck with bragging rights than a guy looking for one to primarily drive on an original looking truck.

On that particular truck if the engine and transmission are in as good of shape as the rest of the truck I don't see enough gain in value by installing an LS over what is there. If the small block was tired and needed rebuild, Yes I would do it. If I hadn't stuck the cad 500 in my 71 I would be putting an LS in it with matching automatic. That would be primarily because it would make a far better driving truck than with the 350 I had in it though.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Where to post a Whats it Worth?

My thoughts on the 6.0 addition is because its not a factory SWB. Well the Sheetmetal is but the frame was shortened. It seems to hurt a lot of feelings around this part of the world when a truck is mostly factory but carries an engine swap...

The Engine Trans and T Case were all rebuilt sometime around 2015 and I would guess maybe 500 miles put on it. Since then it has lived in a garage.

Anyhow I plan to drive it for the next few weeks to find and weed out any problems then list it for sale or possible trade.

If the engine that's in it is tight I think it would bring a little more money if left alone.

I'll be watching to see what it gets priced at.....

My very same thoughts, very nice truck. I prefer a LWB for the bed capacity but that is one fine looking truck! Did you do the short bed conversion?
