Where were you in 62?
When I was a kid my Dad always had Hot Rods and took me to the local Drag Strip! I loved the movie AMERICAN GRFFITI! This really inspred me as a kid, and I allways wanted an old car or truck for my 16th birthday. At the age of 17, I was rideing home on the school bus when I seen this old Chevy truck for sale. I new that day that she had to be mine. So I told my dad, and that very same day we looked at it and bought it! 10 years later I still have this truck. Still work on it. Still spend money on it. Still show it. And still adore it.
Here is a couple of pictures of my lil' 62 Pro/Street under construction inspired from the movie AMERICAN GRAFFITI--Milner's 32 Ford Coupe. WHERE WERE YOU IN 62?

My 63
Although neither of my parents were born in 62 I thought I would post a pic of my 63.

I'm from Modesto where George Lucas grew up. American Grafitti was a awesome movie. I live a short distance from Downey High(couple miles), and there's a monument dedicated to him downtown.
My folks grew up here, and were about 4 years old in '62. Growing up I went to all the Graffiti car shows held downtown each yaer in the summer, and for the last 2 years I have entered my truck in the car shows. Last year Bo Hopkins (Pharoah's car club leader) & Candy Clark (Toad's girlfriend) were here in town with John Milner's '32 Ford signing autograpghs for the 30 yer anniversary. I deleted last years pics of them with the '32 Ford. I stilll got this years up on webshots. A kid I grew up with his Dad was a Pharoah car club member, and still had the jacket with his '49 merc ledsled. David
