Should I keep my parts Jimmy?

Hello guys, I have a 72 Jimmy 4x4 that I love to death Recently, I purchased a 71 Jimmy frame that has a 70 truck cab on it. I was offered some cash for the 71 and was wondering if I should let her go or not? I don't really need the money but I'm not sure if i will have another opportunity to sell this thing if I turn the guy down. The 71 is a 305 auto 4x4 with power steering and real solid doors, it runs and drives. Would these truck doors work on my 72 with a little modification? The 71 also has power steering, which my 72 lacks..would the power steering be hard to find again? The guy is offering me $450 Canadian without the doors- is it worth it to sell, or is the truck worth more to me or someone else? Thanks in advance for your advice.

So, it's a '71 jimmy frame with a truck cab? What else do you need off of it? Is the sum total of the parts you need worth more than the $450.

The guy prior to me apparently spent a couple of thousand doing the conversion and even got a new serial number made for the amalgamated vehicle. Other than the doors and possibly the power steering, i can't of anything else I'd want to keep, unless I ever decide to change out the 4spd in my 72 with the automatic. Although my 72 is a 75,000 origianl mile truck, you never know when you need that little or major part and that is why I'm considering keeping it. The guy who wants to buy it from me is a close friend and wants to put a shortened shortbox on it, an idea that I have pondered as well.

Sounds like you want to keep it....I would prolly personally keep it unless I was forced to part with it for good reason like needing $$$ or wife/girlfriend blackmailing you into having it gone etc, etc...but the choice is always yours...

Do you have any pics of the truck cab on the Blazer frame? That would be interesting to see.

Blazerizing pickup doors is very easy, it takes a couple hours and you need a hack saw and some files, if youi want to transfer the door latch plate then you will need a drill and a welder but you probably can get away with out it.
