93' to vortec problems

I have recently upgraded a 93' 5.7 TBI to a Vortec 5.7. All the plumbing mods are done (intake, EGR, etc). I wasn't aware that the stock computer was incompatable with the vortec engine. I have been told that the vortec engine does not have enough vacum at idile for the stock computer. Is there a fix for this issue? Is there a aftermarket chip that will compensate for the reduced vacum at idle of the vortec engine.
