New to the C10 game

a week or so ago I bought my new baby
From a good now great friend of mine he sunk a ton of money into it in the early 90`s and last had it insured in 98 so its been sitting since then Its has a 383 with 40 000kms on it Carter carb Edlebrock Performer Manifold a nice little cam by the sound of it headers 041 heads.
Behind that is a th400 with a shift kit and a Higher stall to match the cam it is also completely rebuilt with less then 8000 Kms on it

The truck has 4 wheel drums for some reason I think it may be a 69 but have the cab from a 72 because it has a 69 grill 4 wheel drums 6 lug 041 heads and the front suspension has screw in bushings.

I plan on fixing all the rust cab mounts are gone rockers are there but slightly rusty cab corners are of course gone.

The frame is going to be beadblasted get a newer crossmember 4-6 drop I want to make this thing handle like its on rails (well at least for a truck)

I will try to get pics up as soon as I can But it looks like I will be busy this weekend we have a monster carshow in town so it may be a while

Another welcome from Mississippi. Mine is also a '69 with a '72 cab. At times , I wish it was more original, but I forget about that when I'm driving it.

Wow thanks for the welcoming

I wish my truck was more orginal too but then I think about how it wouldnt stay that way for very long anyways. I may end up putting a new cab on it depending on what I can find for how much money Same with the box I may stick either a short bed or a stepside on it but it all depends on what I can get and how much its going to cost me.

Hopefully I can get pics soon I dont have a Digi cam (I should buy one but all my money is going into the truck right now) So I have to borrow a friends

Welcome from Colorado. Think of the cam as an investment in your trucks future. Pics for a magazine's readers rides. Just a thought.
