questions

what pieces from a 1968 model will fit on my 67? I spotted a white (with black spraypainted stripes like a zebra) 68 C10 in the yarde with perfect inner fenders, hood and doors, and rust-free grille and headlamp moldings. Will this stuff change over?

I've got the 250 with a 3 speed manual, and I've been told that it's got at least 3.73's in the rearend. I'd like to go with much taller gears (3.08 or 3.23) because I'm not going to be using this truck for work, rather more for driving and/or showing. This means that it needs to go 75-80 mph on the highway comfortably since nearly everywhere that I would go is on interstates with 65+ MPH speed limits. is there a JY source for these gears? if not, what company do you reccomend? It's not going to see snow, and it's going to be low power, so I'm not worried about limited slip.

Which brings me to my next question. Exactly what transmission do I have, does anyone sell a rebuild kit for it, where can I get a rebuild kit for the linkage (bushings are wearing out), and what is the clutch that you would reccomend?

Lastly, as I mentioned before, this truck isn't going to see work, so I don't care if the wood in the bed is a "soft" wood like pine, instead of the traditional oak. What do you guys think is the best wood to use in regard to overall looks? I really like the look of perfect, varnished oak, but a well-stained pine can look cool too. I'm also kinda partial to maple. Regardless, teh truck will be a very dark blue metallic, if that makes a difference. I'm leaning toward maple at this point.

All of the body parts interchange. 68 has marker lights, 67's don't.

Try looking in factory V8 trucks for a 3.08 rearend.

67-72 truck 12 bolts will be a direct bolt in. Other year trucks may have bracket problems.
