Door rubber
Ill be replacing my door jam rubber gasket. It looks really easy and straight forward. Has anybody had any good or bad experiences? Any advice? Whats the best adhesive to use?
Thanks, Richard |

Hey Richard how are you doin'? I'll be doing this myself also real soon. I did the driver side of the GMC and was not too happy with it. I used the weather stripping adhesive but would like to see what other guys use. I tried to use clothes pins to apply pressure but don't think that's a good way either. Wonder what others use???

I bought a set of S-10 door seals from GMC Pauls for my plow truck. It sets outside all of the time and I have had bad luck with the the other seals.
Installation looks easy as the seals "clip" on and they are really good looking seals. Les at GMC Pauls has some pics of the installation on his truck. Maybe he will post the pics again. I would suggest chicking them out. Jim |

I used the repro seals and they are of good quality. To install, I used the yellow weatherstrip adhesive and a series of masking tape strips all along to hold in place until it dried. It worked perfectly and I have no complaints.
![]() Wish I would have heard of the S10 tip. There's a kazillion of them in the bone yard around here.

We use the black 3m and 2"masking tape to hold it till it dries, clothespins leave it lumpy looking and not completely adheared between the pins.

So masking tape will hold? I'll remember that!
