looking into 72, advice wanted

I dropped the idea of restoring my dads 82 because the body is too far gone and I could do it, but it'd take forever and I'd need resources I don't have. SO I was looking for older cars and I found a nice 72 c10 for 6 grand. The guy who has it now uses it as a daily driver but wants to get rid of it cause he's gettin tired of sitting in rush hour traffic without A/C. He got it 3 years ago at an estate auction because the guy who restored it died. THe previous owner did a off-frame resto in 1995 and it won two car shows. It's cherry red, no rust, lowered, 6 year old 350/turbo400. Also has a 14 galon fuel cell. Anything special to look for? I kinda know my way around these trucks because of my dads 82 but it seems every model has a certain weakness that I don't know about (like Chevelles rusting by the rear window) if you wanna look at it
here it is

Nice looking truck. The front of it looks good. Get under it and look for rust on the inner and outer rockers, the floor and the cab supports. Looks like it was a nice resto. But, look real carefully for shoddy workmanship. Ask to see receipts if he has them. Might want to take a small magnet along with a piece of paper ( so you don't scratch the paint). Check for bondo around the drip rails, rockers and rear fenders ( rear lower portion if it's a stepside). These trucks can have different problems depending which part of the country they are from....Good Luck. The price sounds fair from what I saw in the pic.
