Instrument lights
Ok, so how do they work?
I have a new autometer gauge cluster going in, can't get lights from the light switch. Anyone have a wiring diagrahm for a 70 Chevy C20. I am slowly but surrly rewiring this sucka. |

I don't have the Chevy manual do have the GMC manual for 70. According to the manual there is a grey wire from the instrument light fuse in the fuse panel to the flex circuit connector on the back of the instrument panel. There is also a dark green wire from the light switch to the same fuse. If you look at your light switch connector there are 3 terminals in a row the only 3 terminals in a row. The middle wire on those 3 terminals is your dark green wire for the instrument light fuse. Check near the fuse for a spade terminal it might be for an light not in the instrument panel. Hope this helps.

Yes, there is a spade terminal on the fuse box that is switched with the dash lights...the one marked cluster feed.
