FS-72 Cheyenne-Parts or Project-DFW

Is anyone interested in the “crunched parts chaser” as a complete project or parts truck?
Here are the particulars:
72 Chevy Cheyenne, C10, LWB, 350/700R4, AC, 91K miles
Lots of good parts or a good starting point for your next project.
$650

I can PM or e-mail you more details and pics if you are interested. Here's a few for a general idea of condition. AND..."It was running when I crashed it!"

I'm going to try to sell the whole truck together, otherwise, I will pull the motor and tranny and make a trailer out of the back.

The only parts that have been taken from the truck is the HEI cap/coil/wires for another project. The dizzy itself is still there.

I'm in Aledo, on the west side of Fort worth, just a few miles from the west end of I-30.

I still have it. Chris H has "right of first refusal" and is checking on shipping arrangements to Minnesota! He said he would let me know tomorrow (friday). I will continue to answer questions as best I can.

Scott,
I believe it is the original rear end, and posi is not listed on the option sheet, so I don't think it is. New shoes, seals and gear lube were the next things on the list. Never got there.

6camaro9 and SCOTI have been added to the list.
7GMC2, The truck was exactly what I wanted-a dependable truck to haul stuff that also was cool to drive. It wasn't perfect, but that was the beauty of it. I didn't have to worry about scratching the bed hauling stuff around. Everything worked, it was fun to drive and only required some routine maintenance. After the crash, it took so long to settle the insurance claims (I thought they were going to total it, which would give me a "salvage title") that I had missed a couple of opportunities to buy really nice front clips from local guys (SMONTY for one).
I still have my 56 F-100 that I need to finish. It's got a Camaro clip, the 350/350 combo, radiator, rear end and wiring harness, all from the Camaro. I also have an unexpected tractor project that I have to get underway.
I need to downsize, and this is the logical project. I continue to watch for one in similar condition to mine, but so far, nothing has caught my eye.

It is with great sadness and mixed feelings that I hereby remove myself from the list.
This is going to make someone a great project, and I suspect flip66 will have himself a new truck by the end of the weekend.

Fatfords has been an absolute pleasure to talk with on the phone, and I appreciate the time he afforded me to get the info I needed to make my decision. I think anyone will be very pleased in dealing with him!

Thanks all,
Chris

Chris,
It was pleasure talking to you and I appreciate your consideration, timely responses and kind words. I hope you find a good cab a little closer to home.

flip66, You've got mail!

--SOLD--Thanks, flip66

deadof knight-gauges are 2 1/16 Autometers, installed from the front. The PO did it, so not sure of all the details but the stock cluster lense was definately cut off to allow the gauges to pass thru.

Good Luck!
