Major Bearing Problems...Need HELP

Hey Everyone,

I have a huge SNAFU problem here and need some help.

I had to replace the inside bearing of the passenger side rear hub (is that an axle bearing even though it's not on the axle?). Anyway, bearing and seal are correct but the race is wrong. NAPA gave me a 382A first, too small. They ordered me a 383A, too big! It is so close, but not close enough. The original measures 3.89"OD, 383A= 3.91"OD. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it won't go in. It presses tight into where the seal goes, but that's it.

If anyone can help with the right part #, it would be greatly appreciated. I've had the truck up on a stand for awhile and I'm afraid 1) the city will do something with it or 2) the wife will do something with it.

What kind of rear end are you working one, (it is your C-20?)?

A .020 interference fit will never go together so you will need a bearing with the same OD as your old one.

Did the new axle bearing fit the axle?

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I had to rely on the parts guy to figure it out. We got the right race and everything went back together without any problems...except no one carries the diff. cover GASKET for my truck. After special ordering that part I am in running order.
